A Heliolight 4800 collector has the following features:
Heliolight 4800 collectors can be installed in double rows of 14 to 22 collectors (7 to 11 per row).
Installation can be either on the ground or on rooftops. Rooftop installations are certified by an ATEx issued by CSTB.
Heliolight 4800 collectors are also suitable for tropical regions. Projects have already been installed on Réunion Island and have withstood category 5 cyclones without damage.
Heliolight 4800 collectors are indeed designed to withstand the most severe wind conditions and have been tested in a wind tunnel at CSTB in Nantes.
They maintain their tracking position up to 60 km/h, and beyond that, they automatically move into a safe position (mirrors facing downward).
This configuration allows them to withstand winds exceeding 230 km/h while reducing wind load, soiling, hail exposure, and consequently, wear.
